Quite simply put, an explorer famous for the first circumnavigation of the world, and the Strait of Magellan. He had endurance, he was courageous, and very self-sufficient.
Ferdinand Magellan was born February 3, 1480, in Portugal. His circumnavigation of the world was sponsored by the king of Spain, despite the difference in nationality. This also meant that his crew consisted of many nationalities, and they were pretty mutinous against him for it.
Though he started the first circumnavigation of the world, he died in the Philippines because of a conflict with another group.
